Opened in July of 1995 after years of research and hard work with the goal of recovering and preserving maritime heritage, the DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum is one of the most popular tourist destinations of U.S. This great Museum is located at Fenwick Island with one of the largest collections of shipwreck and recovered artifacts in the Mid-Atlantic, which includes both regional and worldwide shipwreck artifacts.
The museum has about 10,000 artifacts on display at all times and other 80% rotated throughout museum exhibits around the world. Besides, some very interesting programs are conducted in the museum that will enable you to shake hands with history and will also offer a hands-on experience
